Pete Bernhard in-store performance on February 19th @ 5:30pm 2010
You’d think once out of the limelight of Devil Makes Three, vocalist Pete Bernhard would want to rest his voice. Nope. He focuses on songs that he felt needed drums and weren’t suited for the all-acoustic old-country/blues/punk outfit The Devil Makes Three. His solo set has a no-holds- barred feel about it and lyrical fearlessness that one only finds in the truly liberated – feeling no pressure of fitting into a mold. There’s folk, funky New Orleans soul, blues, rock and other genres craft fully melded into a seamless and natural combination that is, like The Devil Makes Three, extremely difficult to place into a single genre.
Sometime back, Pete stepped on to our in-store stage with Devil Makes Three, but on February 19th 2010, he will honor us with solo performance. Since DMT sell out shows most time they play in town, you may want to get here early.
i like the picture you have of cammi and van on your website. (port o brien) you should try and get them to do a show at boo boos sometime soon…like the beginning of january. i know they will both be in the area, and if kenny still works at the shop, he should have one of their numbers to give a real personal touch on the arrangements. thanks!
