AIMS Marketing Program/ Featured Titles Promoted This Week:
Gary Clark Jr. – JPEG RAW CD/LP (WB)
Gary Clark Jr.’s new album JPEG RAW, his fourth studio release, marks a grand step in his musical evolution. While retaining the deep and true resonance of his blues foundations and guitar virtuosity with subtlety yet conviction, he reaches well beyond this time. The emphasis here is on song and studio craft without losing the rawness of his young legend. The music is dense and adventurous with a more cohesive synthesis of his eclectic musical palette. Hip samples, Thelonious Monk and Sonny Boy Williamson decorate flourishes of African, world music, even jazz while merging with blues, rock, R&B, and rap; familiar areas he has ventured before, this time with more unity forging a fresh new style. Clark’s lyrics are pointed, deeply personal, outspoken, and socially conscious with occasional forays into rap and spoken word from Clark himself. The sonics are immersive verging on modern groove-oriented psychedelia with hip-hop driven beats in verses giving way to anthemic choruses, rich with power-chording and wide fuzz riffage. [Available on regular and deluxe vinyl. An indie store exclusive colorway is also available.]

With a wide-open recording approach, the result is Evian’s best album to date: a cathartic rock record that melds power pop, iridescent guitar, raucous psychedelia, and Sam’s now sought-after grooves. The music is both fresh and familiar, sonically inspired by his penchant for early ‘70s production and creatively propelled by the free-spirited process depicted in the Beatles documentary Get Back. [An indie store exclusive translucent marble blue color vinyl pressing is available.]

Sylvaine – Eg Er Framand CD/LP (Season Of Mist)
A strong duality between worlds. A balance between the beautiful and the harsh, light and darkness, serenity and chaos, the outside world, and the inner realm; a juxtaposition between our human life and the spiritual origins. Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Sylvaine’s music deals with the extreme range of emotions human existence has to offer, as a result of existing in this world as a being not from here. In constant conflict with oneself and struggling to adapt to this place we call our own, Eg Er Framand serves as an emotional catharsis for the artist, revealing the eternal longing for something else residing within its melodies.
Waxahatchee – Tigers Blood CD/LP (ANTI-)
One of the hardest working singer-songwriters in the game is named Katie Crutchfield. She was born in Alabama, grew up near Waxahatchee Creek. Skipped town and struck out on her own as Waxahatchee. That was over a decade ago. Crutchfield says she never knew the road would lead her here, but after six critically acclaimed albums, she’s never felt more confident in herself as an artist. While her sound has evolved from lo-fi folk to lush alt-tinged country, her voice has always remained the same. Honest and close, poetic with Southern lilting. Much like Carson McCullers’s Mick Kelly, determined in her desires and convictions, ready to tell whoever will listen. And after years of being sober and stable in Kansas City-after years of sacrificing herself to her work and the road-Crutchfield has arrived at her most potent songwriting yet. On her new album, Tigers Blood, Crutchfield emerges as a powerhouse-an ethnologist of the self-forever dedicated to revisiting her wins and losses. But now she’s arriving at revelations and she ain’t holding them back. [Multiple color vinyl pressings are available, including indie store exclusive translucent red.]
Zombi – Direct Inject CD/LP (Relapse)
Zombi make their long-awaited return with their new album, Direct Inject. Capturing the spirit of previous albums like Escape Velocity and Surface To Air, while expanding the band’s sonic palette into territory, ranging from ‘80s synth rock (“Direct Inject”) to saxophone-heavy slow jams (“Sessuale II”). Direct Inject is essential Zombi, and quite possibly their most diverse and engaging record yet. You can’t help but get carried up in the slipstream of tracks like “Bodies In The Flotsam”, the hard rock/synth strut of “Kamichi & Sandy”, the guttural dirge of “The Post-Atomic Horror”, or the heady sonic touches of “Insurmountable Odds”. [Multiple color vinyl pressings – including an indie store exclusive version – are available.]

Paper Tiger’s All Over The Place is a moody record, but also muscular-with strong kick patterns, spare but catchy vocal sampling, and short songs that make their mark then make an exit. Paper Tiger has a long list of credits as a hip hop producer, but working solo allows his style room to maneuver; All Over the Place explores everything from slow, drumless ambient compositions to hard, dark dance music. There’s a unifying sensibility, though: the chord progressions lean melancholy, textured timbres feel a little like grainy film, and distinct song sections reveal his pop fluency.
Charlie Parr – Little Sun CD/LP (Smithsonian Folkways)
Over the last couple of decades, Charlie Parr has crisscrossed the world on tour more times than one can count. He also has released over a dozen albums of his songs, acclaimed for their poetic simplicity. Little Sun, his most ambitious album to date, was recorded with Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens, My Morning Jacket) and features Parr augmenting his raw and affecting songs with stunning full-band arrangements. The remarkable backing band here includes Marisa Anderson, Victor Krummenacher, Andrew Borger, and Asher Fulero. Masterfully channeling the philosophical and transcendental qualities of the blues, Parr takes us on a journey through the winding streets of his imagination.
Markus Reuter & Stefano Casagna – Sea Of Hopeless Angels CD/LP (Unsung)
Rebounding from his furious and abrasive work with the free-rock improvisation quartet Anchor & Burden, leading polymath composer and touch guitarist Markus Reuter embraces a different and more celestial music in Sea Of Hopeless Angels, his entrancing duo collaboration with electronic producer/art-rock revivalist Stefano Castagna. In a free and sinuous narrative, Markus’ clean-toned and unedited touch guitar solos merge with Stefano’s instinctive counterpart work and sympathetic one-man orchestra. Evocative of the cinematic struggles of the Wim Wenders earthbound angels which partly inspired the recordings, Sea Of Hopeless Angels explores an understanding and acceptance of music as being both fundamental and stabilizing (while also being a grave and sometimes disruptive weight).
Martin Rev – Martin Rev [Reissue/1980] CD/LP (Bureau B)
Martin Rev’s eponymous debut solo record was released in 1980, not long after the second Suicide LP appeared. It is one of the most seminal albums to have emerged in the early years of electronic music. The tension between his hypnotic drum machine salvoes and Alan Vega’s irrepressibly expressive voice on stage or in the studio created an electrifying mix, and yet these six supremely minimal compositions were no less impactful without Vega’s voice.
Rosali – Bite Down CD/LP+MP3 (Merge)
Bite Down finds acclaimed songwriter and guitarist Rosali Middleman amid transition. Written after moving to North Carolina from her longtime home of Philadelphia, Bite Down is a searching, hungry record by an artist who is resolved to bite down on life, in all its horror and joy. She is joined here by Mowed Sound – David Nance (bass, guitar), James Schroeder (guitar, synth), Kevin Donahue (drums, percussion) – and in studio by Destroyer collaborator Ted Bois (keys). Bite Down is Rosali’s second album working with Mowed Sound, and there is urgency and ambition in their collaboration – a band pushing each other not just to expand on what they’ve already done together, but to break through into altogether new territory. [An indie store exclusive pink color vinyl pressing is available.]
Saturnalia Temple – Paradigm Call CD/LP (Listenable)
New album by the Swedish stoner/doom metal band. [A color vinyl pressing is available.]

X-terminator is a Jamaican dancehall label founded in 1987 and run by Philip “Fattis” Burrell. It was undoubtedly the most popular reggae label from 1995 to 1998 and is generally associated with the artists Luciano, Sizzla and Ini Kamoze.
Slimelord – Chytridiomycosis Relinquisted CD/LP (20 Buck Spin)
Slimelord, England’s most peculiar death metal oddity, have assembled from the subterranean depths a savage yet hallucinatory tale on their debut full length Chytridiomycosis Relinquished. The quest log intertwines with the more extraordinary elements of geology, ancient myths, world history, environmentalism, and fantasy. A concept as deftly detailed and complexly bizarre as the music itself, Slimelord emerges from the shallows with a perplexingly delightful weirdo ripper of supernatural horrors and idiosyncratic dirge. [An orange w/ blue color vinyl pressing is available.]
The Staves – All Now CD/LP (Nonesuch)
All Now emerges from a period of chaos for the band that was followed by a period of enforced quiet. The Staves released their third album, Good Woman, in February 2021; it was an album of love and loss, written during a disconcerting period of turmoil and pain. Struggling after two years of deep solitude and pain following the release of Good Woman, The Staves did what they know how to do best: they got back to writing with the idea of going back to basics and focusing almost solely on each other and their guitars as a starting point.
Thee Sinseers – Sinseerly Yours CD/LP (Colemine)
To say that The Sinseers play oldies would be a misnomer. Fronted by bandleader and son of East Los Angeles Joey Quiniones, the group has quietly chipped away at the sounds of R&B and soul for the last half-decade. Quinones and his crew have continuously created a distinctive vibe that explores all aspects of a timeless genre, bringing together their interpretation of music through an unmistakable modern lens. [A limited-edition color vinyl pressing is available.]
The Telescopes – Growing Eyes Becoming String CD/LP+MP3 (Fuzz Club)
Growing Eyes Becoming String is the sixteenth studio album from British noise-rock pioneers The Telescopes. Originally recorded over two sessions back in 2013 – one over a harsh Berlin winter in the Brian Jonestown Massacre studio with Fabien Leseure, and a second back in Leeds with early Telescopes producer Richard Formby – it’s a lost treasure that nearly never was. Succumbing to a hard-drive crash nearly a decade ago, the sessions were presumed lost and soon forgotten, until now. Miraculously rescued from the digital ether and finished by founding member Stephen Lawrie in his own studio over the pandemic, the album finally sees release. [A clear vinyl pressing is available.]

The Wandering Hearts intimately explore this maternal transformation on their aptly titled third full-length offering and Chrysalis Records debut, Mother. The UK trio – Tara Wilcox [vocals], A.J. Dean [vocals, acoustic guitar], and Francesca “Chess”Whiffin [vocals, mandolin] – chronicle this season of growth and change across eleven tracks.
Chris Young – Young Love & Saturday Nights CD/2xLP (SME Nashville)

Zombi – Direct Inject CD/LP (Relapse)

Third Vibration is music from the 21st century, a time when the world has deeply connected to one another via the digital realm, cultures are now free from geographic boundaries, they influence, mesh, and collide with one another. Turkish melodies meet Latin rhythms, from instrumental tunes to Spanish and English lyrics.
Apollo Brown & Che’ Noir – As God Intended [Reissue/2020] LP (Mellow Music)
Buffalo and Detroit are America’s broken dream. They are once thriving cities, now known for frigid temperatures and violent crime. The cities were born in a different era, forged in fire, built of cold steel. It follows that the rawest hip-hop in recent memory has bled from these two regions. No two artists exemplify this hard truth more than legendary Detroit producer Apollo Brown and Buffalo’s maverick emcee Che’ Noir. The two artists came together to create a sound as natural as calm after the storm. The pair’s album, As God Intended, drifts up and down city streets and offers a glimpse behind closed doors, telling the stories of gunshots, missing fathers, and playing the system. The album features Skyzoo, Blakk Soul, Planet Asia, Ty Farris, and Black Thought.

Chick Corea – Sardinia 2xLP (Candid)
Released last October on CD – now available on vinyl. Jazz master Chick Corea’s unconventional vision of a classical performance shines through in his interaction with the Orchestra da Camera Della Sardegna, turning the acclaimed chamber orchestra into a large-scale jazz ensemble. His unorthodox approach adds a touch of playfulness to the Mozart & Gershwin pieces performed while upholding Corea’s obvious reverence for their music. His joyous fusion sets the tone for the musicians and the audience, creating a truly captivating and boundary- pushing experience. The recording captures the essence of Corea’s musical vision, his appreciation for classical traditions, and his undeniable genius as a performer and improviser. It stands as a testament to his lasting influence and his eternal quest to push the boundaries of music.

From the clever wordplay of “Wine Country” and “Karma On The Rocks” to the raw vulnerability of “Someone Else’s Heartbreak” and “Too Much and Not Enough”, Ellis’ first full-length record reveals a seasoned songwriter fully embracing her small-town roots, her real-life romance, and her newfound artistic voice on every level.
Gojira – The Link [Reissue/2003] LP (Listenable)
Limited-edition picture disc. Gojira has been known for their progressive technical death metal style and their spiritual, philosophical, environmentally themed lyrics. The band has gone from the utmost obscurity during the first decade of their career to widespread global recognition, filling out concert halls all over the world with legions of dedicated fans. While debut album ‘Terra incognita’ was more death metal influenced, The Link is musically a steppingstone to Gojira’s progression that led them to From Mars To Sirius worldwide breakthrough and is maybe their more unpredictable record with unique atmosphere showing diversified influences.
Guided By Voices – Same Place The Fly Got Smashed [Reissue/1990] LP (Scat)
Originally released in 1990, Same Place The Fly Got Smashed was Guided by Voices’ fourth album in as many years. Roughly a concept album about an alcoholic named Joker Bob who goes on a bender, someone dies, and Bob gets the chair (“the electrifying conclusion”). From the moment the needle drops, the listener is served notice that this isn’t going to be an easy listen, as an argument taped off of a TV cuts to a basement recording of a lone, blaring electric guitar with someone yelling over the top. But for those brave enough to pass the opening hazards, there are wonders within. [A translucent red colorway is available.]
Heltah Skeltah – D.I.R.T. [Reissue/2008] LP (Duck Down Music)
Heltah Skeltah was a favorite in the underground for their powerful voices, imposing rhymes, and explosive chemistry, but after Sean Price found great success as a solo artist, many thought that their time as a group had passed. This 2008 LP proved otherwise, as the synergy between the iconic duo of Ruck and Rock sounded better than ever.
Hidden Orchestra – To Dream Is To Forget LP (Diggers Factory)
Hidden Orchestra is an imagined orchestra created by multi-instrumentalist composer/producer Joe Acheson. To Dream Is To Forget features a wide variety of guest musicians from different musical backgrounds, recorded separately, and combined by Acheson in his studio to create an ‘imaginary orchestra’ that doesn’t really exist.
Creekbed Carter Hogan – Creekbed Carter LP (Gar Hole)
For trans folksinger Creekbed Carter Hogan, everything good is made from the rotten stump of something else. Their new self-titled album, Creekbed Carter, is both creed and archive, formed from the eccentric preoccupations of a messy Catholic childhood that have been crafted into a dazzling, troubling, and ultimately wondrous collection of songwriting. This 8 track record draws from the intimacy and precision of Hogan’s live shows to build a new landscape for queer folk and country. Familiar spirits haunt these songs – Roger Miller, Bobbie Gentry, Elliott Smith, Karen Dalton – but ultimately, Hogan’s music emanates from the force of their own desires.

Kaleidoscope – Tangerine Dream [Reissue/1967] LP (Survival Research)
London-based psychedelic folk quartet Kaleidoscope formed as the Sidekicks in 1964, changing their name to the Key the following year. By the time they signed Fontana for the 1967 debut album Tangerine Dream, their choral pop harmonies were stronger and the musicianship more accomplished, the distinctly English folk undercurrents more pronounced. A favorite of Spaceman 3 and other connoisseurs of neglected psych, originals of this rare gem now change hands at extortionate prices and the work has aged like a vintage wine, the unjustly overlooked classic now rightly feted.
Kordhell – A Million Ways To Murder LP (Kordhell)

Last Dinner Party – Prelude To Ecstasy LP (Island)
Marble colorway. “Prelude To Ecstasy is a pendulum which swings between the extremes of human emotion – from the ecstasy of passion to the sublimity of pain – and it is this concept which binds our album together. This is an archeology of ourselves; you can exhume our collective and individual experiences and influences from within its fabric. We exorcised guitars for their solos, laid bare confessions directly from diary pages, and summoned an orchestra to bring our vision to life. It is our greatest honor and pride to present this offering to the world, it is everything we are.”
Liars – Mess [Reissue/2014] 2xLP (Mute)
Mess is the next instalment of the Liars’ recycled color vinyl reissue series, released alongside the album’s 10th anniversary. Originally released in 2014, Mess is the sound of Liars not only facing their fears but also chewing them up and spitting them back out in all their technicolor glory. Written and recorded by Angus Andrew and Aaron Hemphill, produced by Angus, and mixed by Timothy “Q” Wiles, this record was less concerned with place compared to previous albums, and saw the band back in their own studio in L.A.

Manycolors – Manycolors LP (Color Red)
Manycolors take a fresh, direct-to-tape method in creating spacious, luscious soundscapes that make them a standout new act in the lo-fi, jazz-hop space. With a heavy influence spurring from J. Dilla, guitarist Brant Williams aims to capture all the musicians as if they were sampled while cultivating an innovative harmonic approach. Williams alongside Eric Luba (Fender Rhodes), Kirwan Brown (bass), and Braxton Kahn (drums) veer into chordal colors that are traditionally explored in jazz but are now sonically hailed in multiple brands of “crossover” genres garnering attention from music lovers across the board.

Blue colorway. The story of the project is still a mystery though the music made by the local band from Miami is timelessly loved and sought by collectors.
Mom Jeans. – Puppy Love [Reissue/2018] LP (Counter Intuitive)
Green colorway. This indie-emo group from California is certainly not the first to write an album about their ex, but they nailed it like only a few do. The instrumentation is flawless, and the production could not be better for the style of indie. Honestly, just listen to the record and stop reading some dumb description that’s supposed to entice you into checking it out. It’s worth it.
The Mother Hips – When We Disappear LP (Blue Rose Music)
Gold colorway. Founded 30 years ago, The Mother Hips caught their first big break before they’d even finished college, when legendary producer Rick Rubin signed the band to his American Recordings label. In the decades to come, the group would go on to release ten critically acclaimed studio albums and cement themselves as architects of a new breed of California rock and soul, one equally informed by the breezy harmonies of the Beach Boys, the funky roots of The Band, and the psychedelic Americana of Buffalo Springfield.
On-Ly – Wonderlust LP (La Sape)
On-Ly is the solo and collaborative moniker of pianist and producer Joshua Smeltink. Spanning genres, On-Ly’s house and hip-hop history is ever-present and imbued with the hard-hitting post-bop jazz-rock of the ‘60s/’70s, harking back to bands such as Weather Report and Miles Davis Group. Reflecting on great leaders and great bands and what makes them essential, there is not too much more than On-Ly has considered for Wonderlust. Distinct in that it inaugurates his first release with a band; Wonderlust simultaneously pulls at the coattails of Santana’s Moonflower, The Mars Volta and the original Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters all whilst serving you some Bob James on the side.
Bill Orcutt Guitar Quartet – Four Guitars Live 2xLP (Palilalia)
As Bill Orcutt’s most mature and exhilarating LP to date, Music For Four Guitars is a slab of undeniable Apollonian beauty. It’s approachability and obvious novelty landed it not only on the year- end lists of every key-pushing codger in the underground in 2022, but also on NPR in the form of the Bill Orcutt Guitar Quartet, an ensemble assembled to perform this music and featuring Wendy Eisenberg, Ava Mendoza, and Shane Parish in addition to Orcutt. But while their Tiny Desk Concert gave a whiff of the quartet’s easy intimacy, the sterile confines of the virtual recital medium still left a puzzle unsolved: how might these brutally mannered bricks of minimalist counterpoint sound on a stage in front of actual breathing bodies?”
Pan American & Kramer – Reverberations Of Non-Stop Traffic On Redding Road LP (Shimmy Disc)
Reverberations Of Non-Stop Traffic On Redding Road is a duet in ambience by Pan American (Mark K. Nelson) and Kramer. Tatyana – It’s Over LP (Sinderlyn)
Black ice pressing. Much of Tatyana’s second album It’s Over is like this: bright, weird, danceable electronics paired with lyrics about frustration, anger and confusion. This notion of ‘dancing through the pain’ is a dichotomy that Tatyana leans into regularly.
Thumpasaurus – Hard LP (No Concidence)
Hard – the third album from L.A.-based indie-pop-funk messengers Thumpasaurus – began in the studio. To capture the lightning-in-a-bottle magic of their shows, the band tracked live as a full band, and then sprinkled further funk on top.
Tokyo Police Club – A Lesson In Crime / Smith [Reissue/2016] LP (Paper Bag)
Two EPs by the Candian rock band on one LP.
The Triffids – Born Sandy Devotional [Reissue/1986] LP (PIAS America)
Immerse yourself in the genre-defying brilliance of The Triffids’ Born Sandy Devotional. This 1986 masterpiece seamlessly blends folk, rock, and post-punk, creating an unforgettable sonic experience. The haunting vocals of David McComb, coupled with lush instrumentals, make each track a journey through atmospheric landscapes. Own a piece of musical history on limited edition yellow vinyl and let The Triffids’ timeless sounds resonate in a whole new way.
Tycho – Awake [Reissue/2014] LP (Ghostly International)
10th Anniversary Edition blue/beige colorway. For nearly a decade, Tycho has been known as the musical alias of Scott Hansen, but with the release of Awake – his second LP for Ghostly International – the solo project evolved into a three-piece band. Relating closer to post-rock than ambient soundscapes, the record is situated in the present, sounding more like Hansen than drawing from his influences. This is, in many ways, the first true Tycho record. Following 2011’s Dive LP, the San Francisco-based designer toured extensively, and with a full band on stage, his sound coalesced into a percussive, organic whole.
Various Artists – Beehive Breaks LP (Numero)
15 funky honeys straight from the cone. [An olive-green colorway is available.]
Various Artists [Jamiroquai] – Late Night Tales: Jamiroquai [Reissue/2003] 2xLP (Late Night Tales)
Late Night Tales reissues the classic and hard-to-find Late Night Tales: Jamiroquai, compiled by none other than Jay Kay himself. The 10th edition of what is now a classic series of compilations was originally released 20 years ago and hasn’t been available on vinyl for over 15 years. A blissful collection of soul, disco, jazz, rare groove, and funk, this collection is an electrifying journey through the aural influences of one of the UK’s most seminal jazz bands. Jay Kay showcases a wealth and breadth of inspiration that wouldn’t be amiss on the late-night dancefloors of the Loft (or Giant Steps, for that matter).
VR SEX – Hard Copy LP (Dais)
Following 2022’s Rough Dimension LP, Noel Skum – aka Andrew Clinco of Drab Majesty – made the radical leap of expanding his psychedelic post-punk vehicle VR SEX into a fully collaborative five-piece band. To christen the new group’s camaraderie, they booked a block of studio time in Glassell Park, swapped skeletal iPhone demos, and “did that classic thing of a band making the exact record they want without any interference.” Working 12-hour days, they banged out the basics in a week, then tracked the rest over a month, fine-tuning it with flourishes, FX, and amplifier experiments. Hard Copy is the result – 10 tracks of sneering psychedelic punk streaked with Chrome-damaged freak-outs and snotty power pop harmonies chronicling sex doll love affairs and glue-sniffing fatales. [Multiple colorways are available.]
Wham! – Fantastic [Reissue/1983] LP (Sony Legacy)
Wham! – Make It Big [Reissue/1984] LP (Sony Legacy)
Wham! exploded onto the global stage with their first album Fantastic in 1983 and music was never the same again. Featuring the huge hits “Bad Boys”, “Wham! Rap (Enjoy What You Do)”, and “Club Tropicana”, the album debuted at #1 in the UK and sold millions of copies worldwide. Make It Big! is exactly what Wham! had done by the time they released their second album in 1984. Featuring the hit singles “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, “Everything She Wants” “Freedom” and “Careless Whisper”, the album cemented their place as pop icons.
Wye Oak – Shriek + Variations 2xLP+MP3 (Merge)
Orange swirl colorway. In 2014, Wye Oak released Shriek. It was a necessary departure for Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack, who found themselves on uncertain ground after two years of constant touring for 2011’s Civilian, living on opposite ends of the country and trying to revitalize their creative partnership. Wasner set aside her guitar for a bass. Stack took on the band’s upper register, playing syncopated, meditative keyboard parts that interacted with Wasner’s voice. During that period, Wasner and Stack were introduced to composer William Brittelle, the Metropolis Ensemble, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. His orchestral reimaginings of five songs from Shriek (Shriek: Variations, if you will) are the centerpiece of this package, which serves not only to mark the tenth anniversary of a great album, but to demonstrate the richness of Wye Oak’s compositions.
ZA! & Perrate – Jolifnato LP (Lovemonk)
Jolifanto takes its name from the first verse of Karawane, a seminal Dadaist phonetic poem by Hugo Ball. When Ball first recited it in 1916 at the Cabaret Voltaire, both the author and the audience embraced a trance that left Ball exhausted, requiring assistance off the stage as the audience claimed the spotlight. Over a century later, by a series of fortuitous events, Jolifanto is also the title of an album featuring two powerful musical entities. Artists stemming from diverse backgrounds converge with a shared experimental spirit, curiosity, and passion for exploration in their music. Jolifanto is an unexpected explosion propelled by (poly)rhythm, expanding into seemingly distant territories under the influence of flamenco. The Dadaist spirit permeates the work, where a constant tension between the improvised and the meticulously planned is evident.
