Ada Lea – One Hand On the Steering Wheel The Other Sewing A Garden CD/LP+MP3 (Saddle Creek)
One Hand On The Steering Wheel the Other Sewing A Garden is the second album by Canadian songwriter Alexandra Levy, publicly known by the moniker Ada Lea. On one hand, it’s a collection of walking-paced, cathartic pop/folk songs; on the other, it’s a book of heart-twisting, rear-view stories of city life. The album is set in Montreal and each song exists as a dot on a personal history map of the city where Levy grew up. Many of the songs on one hand came together with a blend of studio tracks and elements from the pre-recorded demos. The resulting sounds range from classic, soft-rock beauty to intimate finger-picked folk passages and night-drive art-pop. And the textures are frequently surprising due to the collage of lo-fi and hi-fi sounds that tastefully decorate the album without ever clouding the heart-center of the song. [A limited-edition yellow color vinyl pressing is also available.]

Colleen Green – Cool CD (Hardly Art)
Colleen Green has always been cool, but on 2015’s I Want To Grow Up, she didn’t necessarily feel it. Too young to be free of insecurities but old enough to be sick of them running her life, Green was experiencing an existential crisis. Five years and a new album later, we find her parsing out what it means to be grown-up – and realizing that it’s actually pretty Cool. Opener “Someone Else” is a paean to power in which Green lets a lover know that double standards can go both ways. A groovy bass loop and zig-zagging guitar lines underscore her realization that happiness is in her own hands, and the vibe is set. Next up is the witty, catchy “I Wanna Be A Dog”, where Green celebrates the simplicity of a canine life and questions why she’s still overcomplicating her own. Dark and slinky “Highway” uses ruthless driving as a metaphor for a lifestyle that no longer interests her. Burnt out on bad feelings and ready to have fun with melodies and beats, Green enlisted producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) to take her songs to higher ground while keeping her lo-fi aesthetic intact. [Vinyl and cassette editions due October 1.]

In the years since, the South Carolina native and avid outdoorsman and fisherman has formed his own sense of unique musicianship – incorporating self-taught styles that fit each song rather than following conventional techniques. With Black Power Soul‘s fourteen tracks, including a special prologue featuring the voice of his late grandfather, McCall explores the balance of good and evil, destruction and healing and the importance of having faith in the darkest of times.
Mac McCaughan – The Sound Of Yourself CD/LP+MP3 (Merge)
Throughout his musical career fronting Superchunk and Portastatic, Mac McCaughan has channeled more than his share of angst and tumult into a microphone, resulting in straight-up undeniable rock anthems. So how can a voice so familiar to others still seem foreign to its owner? On The Sound of Yourself, McCaughan’s second record released under his own name, he explores that question fully, shooting his voice through a prism and refracting it across these songs in new and rewarding ways. In January 2021, McCaughan found himself at his home studio in Chapel Hill staring down a clean slate after wrapping up a film score and several other music projects. This setting – a distant light at the end of a figurative tunnel, and a literal room full of instruments – was integral to The Sound Of Yourself. Guests include Michael Benjamin Lerner (Telekinesis), Annie Hayden (Spent), Sabrina Ellis (A Giant Dog, Sweet Spirit), Mackenzie Scott (Torres), Matt Douglas (Mountain Goats), Mary Lattimore, Jon Wurster (Superchunk) and Yo La Tengo. [An indie store exclusive vinyl pressing is also available.]
Rivers Of Nihil – The Work CD/2xLP (Metal Blade)
Reading, Pennsylvania’s Rivers Of Nihil have never fit neatly into a box, but with 2018’s Where Owls Know My Name, they transcended all labels applied to them. Returning in 2021 with The Work, they have forged further into new territory, delivering an album that is as cerebral as it is visceral, and that covers a staggering sonic range, definitively placing them in a category of their own. While The Work is a very dense, inarguably heavy collection, it is far too dynamic to consider it solely a metal record, and there is a genuine warmth that shows through, particularly on “Wait” and the gorgeous “Maybe One Day”, and the band has included far more clean vocals alongside the screaming that tears through many of the heavier tracks. “It spans a lot of different styles, ideas, and emotions. The twists and turns are pretty drastic for your modern-day metal record. There’s a lot of what you already know we do, and a lot of what you’ve never heard us do before,” guitarist Brody Uttley said. [A limited-edition color vinyl pressing is also available.]

With each successive release, the world of the Budapest-based trio Jü seems to become exponentially larger and encompass an ever-expanding range of vibrant and startling influences. The straightforward title of their latest release III reflects the basic fact that this is their third outing as a band and the tripartite nature of the collective trio. But it also harkens to something mystical and elusive about the number three, a quality of arcane mystery reflected in the number’s vital importance in cultures across the globe. Here, their sound is marked by the now-familiar whirlwind of blistering rock, dizzying prog, ferocious free jazz, mesmerizing ambient textures and alluring Eastern European rhythms.
Kiefer – When There’s Love Around CD/2xLP (Stones Throw)
Pianist Kiefer returns with When There’s Love Around. An album of two halves, the first is “about feeling small and insignificant and stressed,” Kiefer says. “It’s about things that cause me to worry, but at the end of the day, are probably unimportant from a larger cosmic perspective.”
The Limiñanas /Laurent Garnier – de Pelicula CD/2xLP (Because Music)
The psychedelic garage duo The Limiñanas and French techno pioneer Laurent Garnier have produced together de Pelicula. The result is neither a Limiñanas techno record nor a Laurent Garnier rock album. It is a record that feels like a walk on the wild side, straight out of a film noir that was spawned from the need to write music that tells a story and rattles all traditional patterns in a (super)sonic trance. A heated road-trip spent chasing Juliette and Saul, two teenage rascals.

Malady – Ainavihantaa CD (Svart)
Even though Finnish band Malady is deeply into the retro aesthetic, their music is not just about being vintage. The storytelling mood of the meandering songs is supported by an analog soundscape. Malady’s music is, at the same time, subtle and substantial. [Vinyl edition due December 17.]
Jesse Malin – Sad And Beautiful World CD (Wicked Cool)
NYC-based alternative/Americana singer-songwriter Jesse Malin follows up 2019’s Sunset Kids with Sad And Beautiful World which takes its name from a line in Jim Jarmusch’s 1986 cult-classic Down By Law. [Vinyl edition due October 8.]
Taylor McCall – Black Powder Soul CD/2xLP (Black Powder Soul)
Emerging singer, songwriter and musician Taylor McCall presents his anticipated full-length debut album, Black Powder Soul. Produced by Sean McConnell (Michael Franti, Wade Bowen), Black Powder Soul is the product of a winding musical journey for McCall that began at age seven when he received his first guitar.
Migos – Culture III CD (Quality Control)
Culture III is the third installment and finale of Migos’s blockbuster Culture trilogy. As a knockout climax, it spotlights their nimble ad-libs, bulletproof bars, head-spinning hooks, and irreplaceable chemistry. And it’s stacked with A-list co-stars: Cardi B, Drake, Future, Justin Bieber, Polo G, Youngboy NBA and the late Juice WRLD and Pop Smoke to name a few. Combined with a production that fills the room with sparkling clarity and choking gloom, Infernum In Terra will satisfy every last one of the New Yorkers’ fans, while expanding Abruscato’s singular vision beyond all expectation.
Peter Cat Recording Co – Bismillah CD/LP (Panache)
If discovering your favorite new band via a ‘Best Of’ feels a curious premise, then Bismillah does more than hint towards the promise of Peter Cat Recording Co’s future. Blending gypsy jazz, psychedelic cabaret, space disco, bossa supernova, Bollywood and uneasy listening with kaleidoscopic ease, in many senses, the band’s knack hasn’t altered. Always different, paradoxical, unpredictable yet somehow familiar. The new album opens to the strains of bird chatter, the whisper of a city’s soundscape and the first few notes from an instrument which seem to be calling us to the departure lounge, a foreshadow of the flight Bismillah launches its listener on.

Nolan Potter – Music Is Dead CD (Castleface)
Nolan Potter is putting the home-recording freaks to shame. The world had a year of global pandemic to lay out it’s grand ideas and the sum total of most artists quar-riffs wouldn’t push the constraints of a normal band practice (gosh, remember those?). Nolan Potter, in the meantime, has quietly painted a beatific masterpiece that veers from the whimsical to the wigged out, deftly weaving an untamed tapestry of sound all the while archly commenting on the present musician’s predicament-and he did it alone. [Vinyl edition due October 8.]
Public Service Broadcasting – Bright Magic CD/LP (PIAS America)
London-based trio Public Service Broadcasting have created their own unique brand of art rock (call it History Rock) that dives deep into a historical subject and creates a compelling body of work around the chosen theme. Bright Magic is named after a collection of short stories by Alfred Döblin. The album is primarily about Berlin as a magnet for creative people and creativity and the city as a canvas or a prism for refracting ideas and spreading them in new and interesting ways. As with all PSB releases there has been thorough research into the subject and a meticulous level of detail.
Quicksand – Distant Populations CD/LP+MP3 (Epitaph)
New York City post-hardcore band Quicksand deliver their fourth studio album Distant Populations – the follow-up to the critically lauded 2017 release Interiors. Sonically it has a punchier, more up-tempo sound than its predecessor, with its 11 songs being concise, carved sonic jewels boasting not a single wasted note. Its gripping lyricism and raw power leap out from the very first listening. Throughout the album’s 11 tracks, Quicksand explores the duality of our simultaneous existence in individual relationships and as part of mass society, while also examining the alienation and loneliness of it all. [An indie store exclusive vinyl pressing is also available.]
Jordan Rakei – What We Call Life CD (Ninja Tune)
Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer, and songwriter Jordan Rakei is back with his fourth studio album. What We Call Life is his most vulnerable and intimate album to date, lyrically and sonically. While the heart of the record will be familiar to fans of his neo-soul and hip-hop-infused work, here Rakei dives deeper into his sound world, merging electronic with acoustic, and rugged grooves with ambient atmospheres, to create something richer, more detailed, and more textural than before. Recommended if you like Arlo Parks, Hiatus Kaiyote, Loyle Carner and Tom Misch.

Delivering west-coast cool at its finest. With swooning strings, breezy guitars and tough as nails drums, Odds & Ends epitomizes a mellow vibe, but is undeniably cool.

Sufjan Stevens – Convocations 5xCD/5xLP (Asthmatic Kitty)
Convocations moves like a two-and-a-half-hour requiem mass for our present times of difficulty, it’s 49 tracks allowing for all these feelings to be felt. The album is divided into five sonic cycles, each replicating a different stage of mourning. “Meditations” work toward acceptance and resolution, of coming to terms with the day’s news even if it stings. The subsequent “Lamentations” slink, sputter, and sometimes grind, as sadness transmutes to anger and back again. The rhythmic drift and glitchy strata of “Revelations” allow for confusion and catharsis, of asking just why the world or the heavens have wronged us. With its bright tones, occasional sweeps of strings, and scrambled voices, “Celebrations” offers furtive bits of fondness, though the nostalgia is never far removed from the news that prompted it. The final nine “Incantations” are lessons for those of us who remain, gorgeous and galvanizing reminders that our time here is as limited as the possibilities for how we spend it are infinite. Convocations occasionally soothes and sometimes hurts; when it’s done, you’re left with a renewed sense of wonder for being here at all.
Sufjan Stevens & Angelo de Augustine – A Beginner’s Mind CD/LP (Asthmatic Kitty)

Sufjan Stevens and Angelo de Augustine have paired up for a collaborative project that does just that. A Beginner’s Mind is their debut album that contains 14 songs (loosely) based on (mostly) popular films. The source material is highbrow, lowbrow, and everything in between. Danko Jones – Power Trio LP (Sonic Unyon Metal)

Anne Imhof, Eliza Douglas and Billy Bultheel – SEX LP (PAN)
SEX was composed during the development of Imhof’s art exhibition of the same name, previously exhibited at Tate Modern, London, The Art Institute of Chicago and Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea. Music is core to Imhof’s work. It functions not only as a soundtrack to perform to, but rather that music itself, and the act of performing music, becomes a work of visual merit by its very nature. Imhof’s performance work, in collaboration with Douglas, is often described as visually being a futuristic, nihilist take on pop culture citing metal and grunge aesthetics while making connections to thematics of classical painting. The concert itself becomes a visual language in Imhof’s performative work which sits evenly placed with her painting and sculpture.

The album explores emotional space, places visited and the people you meet and leave along the way.
Hiro Kone – Silvercoat The Throng LP (Dais)
New York electronic experimentalist Nicky Mao’s fourth full-length, Silvercoat The Throng, emerged against the backdrop of lockdown, compelled by an intuitive directive: “resist the urge to fill the space.” Compositionally this translated as a simmering, shadowy energy, veiled but variable, traced in a composite of strings, synthetics, rhythm, and voice. The title alludes to a poetic notion of “possibility, rescued from darkness,” which aptly evokes the shapeshifting, devotional feel of these ambitious and elegant sound designs, crafted in defiance of impermanence, driven by the pursuit of becoming “more and more articulated, differentiated.”
Katuchat – Still Life LP (Roche Music)
Still Life has been shaped by Katuchat’s various musical influences: Arca, Vegyn, Sophie or Boards Of Canada, artists who inspire him in the production of complex and detailed rhythms. For his first album, he wanted to experiment with more melodious sounds but also to diversify his music by collaborating for the first time with other artists (Chester Watson, Lia…). Electronic music allows the listeners to attach their own interpretation and their own emotions, be they joyful or more melancholic.

Magic Roundabout – Up LP (Third Man)
Archival release. The first-ever LP from the criminally unheard Manchester shoegazing noisemakers.
Maxim Joy – Stretch LP (1972)
Archival release. Forty years ago, on July 8th and 9th in 1981, a group formed by the splintering of some of Bristol’s essential post punk bands, entered the hallowed studio at Berry Street in London to record their debut single. What would emerge was not only an exuberant post funk classic on the A-side, but also a wildly influential dub workout on the flipside, whose reverberations can still be heard today.
Sean McConnell – A Horrible Beautiful Dream 2xLP (Sean McConnell)
Limited-edition red/turquoise color vinyl pressing. Singer, songwriter and producer Sean McConnell’s latest collection of songs A Horrible Beautiful Dream approaches the difficult task of asking questions of what one really thinks they know, in the simultaneous struggle of not being afraid of the answers that emerge. The Men – Leave Home [Reissue/2011] LP (Sacred Bones)
White color vinyl pressing. The Men’s hugely influential album Leave Home came out during an exciting time in New York City. DIY lofts and shitty bars littered downtown Manhattan and North Brooklyn. The Acheron had just opened it’s doors. Kill Your Idols had broken up. Toxic State Records was just getting started with Crazy Spirit, Dawn of Humans, Hank Wood and Perdition EP’s. The city was alive with punk and noise and filth. And right at that time, The Men were the show to be at.

Limited etched 12” black vinyl pressing. B side has exclusive etched design. Ed Banger Records proudly presents Metallica’s “Don’t Tread On Else Matters” – SebastiAn Remix, courtesy of Metallica.
The Milk Carton Kids – Prologue: 10th Anniversary Edition 3xLP (Milk Carton Kids)
In North Hollywood in April of 2011, on a five-day break in a two-month tour, The Milk Carton Kids recorded Prologue – their first studio album. They used four microphones, two guitars, and their two voices. After its release, the band would go on to play thousands of shows, dozens of festivals and television appearances, and garner three Grammy nominations. 10 years on, The Milk Carton Kids has become stalwarts of the global folk scene even as the world has changed around them. The Prologue: 10th Anniversary Edition deluxe vinyl three-LP box set pulls the curtain back on this seminal album, featuring original iPhone writing demos, early live versions, rehearsals, photos and other ephemera from the band’s formative days.
Negativland – No Brain LP (Seeland)
Four songs in just under nine minutes: what do they have in common? They’ve got No Brain, and they’re the new vinyl EP from your grandparents in Negativland. Just as all those decades of media literacy courses finally seemed to be sinking in, along came social media to scramble one’s lines of sight on where all these voices are really coming from. Every tactic modern citizens used to resist the one-way feeds of broadcast media-from skepticism, to research, to signal jamming-is just as easily used against them in today’s all-way environment. The four songs on this record juxtapose the voices of media experts from the ancient ’90s with voices culled from the modern landscape of social media-from the users still operating under the old rules, to the rationalizations of tech CEOs who invented the software that’s eaten them.
Dan Nicolls – Mattering And Meaning LP (We Jazz)
New release from the London-based keyboardist/producer. Dan Nicholls’s music uses acoustic piano as its key element, transporting the instrument into new territories that sound remarkably natural and organic, whilst displaying a strong kinship with the world of abstract electronic music. The music utilizes piano loops and field recordings as its key elements, forming what might be described on the surface as a fascinating ambient jazz record – but at the same time there’s so much more at play here on deeper levels. Dan’s music sounds at once otherworldly and immensely inviting.
Gary Numan – Warriors [Reissue/1983] LP (Beggars Banquet)
Orange color vinyl pressing. Beggars Arkive is excited to announce the LP reissue of Gary Numan’s fifth album Warriors. Originally released in 1983 and co- produced with Bill Nelson, the album continues Numan’s ambient-funk experimentations and has aged very well.
Angel Olsen – Aisles 12”+MP3 (Jagjaguwar)
“The songwriter takes an uncharacteristic breather with a collection of faithful, occasionally brooding covers of 1980s hits like ‘Forever Young’ and ‘The Safety Dance.’” – Pitchfork
Daniel O’Sullivan – Fourth Destiny LP (VHF)
Second in a series of three records of Library Music miniatures from composer and multi-instrumentalist Daniel O’Sullivan (Æthenor, Ulver, This Is Not This Heat, etc.) following 2020’s Electric Māyā. For heads, the term Library Music in 2021 might evoke dodgy Italian gray market LPs and crate-diggers hunting for funky breaks-but London’s venerable KPM Music is working with groundbreakers like O’Sullivan to open up new avenues for composers to experiment with. [A limited-edition blue color vinyl pressing is also available.]
Kellee Patterson – Kellee [Reissue/1976] LP (Octave)
Limited pink color vinyl pressing. As purportedly the first black-owned jazz imprint since the ’20s, the Black Jazz label had its roots in the Black Power movement of the late ’60s and early ’70s. But not every album on the label had a social message. Kellee Patterson’s Maiden Voyage was simply an extremely tasteful, mellow jazz vocal album, recorded with the top-notch sidemen that characterized Black Jazz sessions.
Hayden Pedigo – Letting Go LP+MP3 (Mexican Summer)
Hayden Pedigo is an acoustic guitarist and soundscape composer from Amarillo, Texas. Hayden’s music combines the American primitive guitar picking styles of John Fahey with a proclivity for experimental sound design and manipulation. By his early 20s, Hayden had collaborated with luminaries such as Charles Hayward of This Heat, Fred Frith, Werner Diermaier of Faust, and outlaw country legend, Terry Allen.
Pixies – Trompe Le Monde [Reissue/1991] LP (4AD)
Limited-edition green color vinyl pressing. 1991’s Trompe Le Monde served as the Pixies’ fifth and last studio album for 23 years. Boasting a bigger, vaguely psychedelic sound – thanks in part to Captain Beefheart keyboardist Eric Drew Feldman – this underrated set was by turns anthemic (space/time travel saga “Planet Of Sound”), explosive (The Jesus & Mary Chain cover “Head On”), sardonic (“U-Mass”, “Subbacultcha”) and oddly poignant (“The Sad Punk”).
Rare Earth – Ma [Reissue/1973] LP (Culture Factory)
Translucent red color vinyl pressing. Ma is the sixth studio album by rock band Rare Earth, released in April 1973. It marks a change for the band as none of the tracks were composed or written by the band. All composing and producing was done by the famous producer Norman Whitfield.
Rhyton – Pharaonic Crosstalk LP (Feeding Tube)
Limited pink color vinyl pressing. The sixth LP by NYC trio, Rhyton, is as heavy as an Egyptian space-funeral. The vibe of this masterful album is fully embodied by it’s gorgeous Robert Beatty cover art, which looks like a Mati Klarwein reinterpretation of Tony Scott’s ’68 Verve LP, Music for Yoga Meditation. Rhyton was formed in 2011 by Dave Shuford & fellow travelers, with a notion to balance the songwriterly stance of D. Charles Speer with something more improvisation based.
David Ruffin – David 2xLP (Third Man)
Motown Records: The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, The Miracles, Marvin Gaye, Martha Reeves and The Vandelas and, of course, The Temptations. It is antithetical to mention any of those without the others. The community of artists started as the Sound of Young America, but as history has proven, it became the sound, the look and the inspiration of so much more. And now, little nuggets of Motown’s influence can be found the world over. David Ruffin, founding member of Motown superstars The Temptations, went on to become a successful solo artist even after he left the group. In 1969, Ruffin released two fantastic solo records, My Whole World Ended and Feelin’ Good. Between 1970 and 1971 he recorded what was to be his third long playing solo record. However, his career was suddenly put on hold when Motown, for reasons unclear, shelved the album that had been dubbed David.
Seam – Headsparks [Reissue/1992] LP (Numero)
In the wake of Bitch Magnet and current of Superchunk, Sooyoung Park and Mac McCaughan formed a raw version of Seam in the summer of ’91. With bassist Lexi Mitchell, the trio banged out an album and two singles worth of shambolic dream pop in the sweltering Chapel Hill heat. Ten songs of talk-whispered vocals, sloshing guitar solos, scattered snare rolls, Velocity Girl’s Sarah Shannon, and the original version of Codeine’s slowcore classic “New Year’s”.
Elliott Smith – Elliott Smith [Reissue/1995] LP+MP3 (Kill Rock Stars)
25th Anniversary remastered audio.
Sonny And The Sunsets – Tomorrow Is Alright [Reissue/2009] LP (Fat Possum)
Limited blue color vinyl pressing. Sonny An The Sunset’s vintage-style west coast pop songs tell sordid tales of death, drowning, outcasts, heavenly visions and otherworldly despair. This was captured in its purest form on their 2009 debut album Tomorrow Is Alright, which still radiates with a classic yet indefinable sound, akin to a futuristic take ‘50s R&B.
Sophisticated Lady Jazz Quartet – Simpler Times [Reissue/2015] LP (Yarlung)
“Sophisticated Lady Jazz Quartet rehearsed and performed some of these tunes before our concert and recording but many are the first time through; the quartet discussed the tunes and who would take what solo in which order but without rehearsal. I wanted the intensity of raw improvisation. This is possible when superb musicians tackle new material together, listening carefully to each other and playing as a single organism. Right before we recorded ‘For Sebastian’, for example, I played the opening of ‘Variation 25’ from Bach’s Goldberg Variations on the piano. Misha led the quartet’s improvisation from there. Music cannot get fresher than this.” – Bob Attiyeh, producer
Sullivan King – LOUD Neon LP (Hopeless)
Neon purple color vinyl pressing. Sullivan King, the one-half metal, one-half bass, music creation of Keaton Prescott, releases his debut hard rock album, appropriately titled LOUD after years of cutting his teeth in the EDM/bass scene. The new album features guest appearances by members of Underoath, Ice Nine Kills, and Fever 333 and displays a distinct blend of his two sounds.
SUUNS – The Witness LP (Joyful Noise)
Limited-edition blue color vinyl pressing. As a band who has been around for thirteen years and toured all corners of the world, there comes a point when the veil of mystique must be fully lifted. Up until now, experimental rockers SUUNS has reveled in mystery like a silhouette disappearing into the mist, releasing albums that rest comfortably in ambiguity, detachment and innuendo. But lately, the band appears to be more comfortable coming clean with their own inner workings. That newfound sense of ease is undeniable on SUUNS’ fifth full-length album The Witness.
Tom Tom Club – Downtown Rockers [Reissue/2012] 12” (Nacional)
Limited pink colored vinyl LP pressing. Infamous for timeless hits such as “Wordy Rappinghood” and “Genius Of Love”, Tom Tom Club was formed by Talking Heads founders Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth. 2012’s Downtown Rockers, served as the group’s first collection of new material in more than a decade and was recorded after touring throughout 2011.
Traffic – Heaven Is In Your Mind/Mr. Fantasy [Reissue/1967] LP (Sundazed)
Limited yellow color vinyl pressing of the 1967 debut album from the British band.
Various Artists – An Eclectic Selection From Arab World Part 2 2xLP (Habibi Funk)
Recently released on CD – now available on vinyl. “This compilation of songs is not meant as a historic reflection of popular music of the Arab world. It is a very personal selection of songs we grew to like at Habibi Funk. It is music that historically never existed as a unified musical genre. We think it’s important to make this distinction and to have the listener understand that most of the music on this compilation does not come from the highly famous names of the musical spectrum of North Africa and the Middle East. Instead, the final body compiled for this record consists of some – at least for us – niche-y pearls and often overlooked artists; resulting in a diverse range of styles from Egyptian organ funk, disco sounds from Morocco, an example of the lively reggae scene of Libya, political songs from Lebanon, soundtrack music from Algeria, a musical union between Kenya & Oman, and much more.”
Laura Veirs – Carbon Glacier [Reissue/2004] LP (Raven Marching Band)
Laura Veirs – Year Of The Meteors [Reissue/2005] LP (Raven Marching Band)
Laura Veirs – My Echo [Reissue/2020] LP (Raven Marching Band)

Robbie Williams – Life Thru A Lens [Reissue/1997] LP (Capitol)
Robbie’s debut solo album, Life Thru A Lens, entered the UK chart at #11 but had to wait almost six months before it reached #1, eventually spending 147 weeks on the Top 100. It includes 4 UK Top 10 hits: “Old Before I Die”, “Lazy Days”, “Let Me Entertain You”, and “Angels” which is his biggest selling single to date and was voted the best song of the last 25 years at the 2005 BRIT Awards.
Wormwood – Arkivet 2xLP (Black Lodge)

Life on the road defined her relationship with place and on her new album she considers just what Place Is. The album explores emotional space, places visited and the people you meet and leave along the way.
Ringo Starr – Change The World CDEP/Cassette (UMe)
