Contest: The Mother Hips
STILL NEED PLANS FOR THE FOURTH? LOOK NO FURTHER!
“The Mother Hips, a Bay Area quartet, hooked up nearly twenty years ago at Chico State. A couple of record deals and sabbaticals later, they continue to deliver a romping strain of countrified psychedelic power pop laced with traces of Merle Haggard, Barry Gibb, and the Eagles. Tim Bluhm and Greg Loiacano, the songwriters and front men, know how to sing it sweet and play it dirty.” -New Yorker Magazine
The Hips want to celebrate Independence Day with you! Gathering friends and family, they’re taking over the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur and throwing two full day events, closing each night. We’re offering two pair of full weekend passes. So no need to decide which day you want to see, cause the lucky winners will be seeing the whole affair. Enter below and check out the line-up. SOLID!

Never would we trade a digital file over owning a physical, cool vinyl record. You can’t replicate the sound of a fresh piece of wax, slipping free from its white inner sleeve. That same type of refreshing sound as opening a soda can on a hot day. SSkesshhhh!
But downloading is a necessary option, and we’d like to give you some new options!
With the heft of numerous independent record store country-wide, we’re glad to announce the launch of a new “guilt-free” download site. Sign up and download music – AND support your favorite indie store!
- 320KB Files (that’s right, bigger and better than iTunes or Amazon!)
- Non DRM (digital rights management) MP3 files: Works with any player
- Exclusive content as well as a deep catalog
So if you can’t come by Boo Boos in the physical, here’s a secondary shopping option. Pass it along.
